1. Product Description

The Zero Ninety’ Shin Guards are football shin guards designed to provide impact protection during football activities while maintaining a lightweight, low-profile construction for maximum comfort and freedom of movement.

Unlike conventional symmetrical shin guards, the Zero Ninety’ Shin Guards feature an anatomically engineered left and right design. Each protector is individually shaped to follow the natural curvature of the corresponding leg, improving stability, comfort and fit.

Each protector is permanently identified with:

  • L – Left Leg 
  • R – Right Leg 

to ensure correct positioning.

2. Intended Use

The Zero Ninety’ Shin Guards are intended exclusively for use during association football.

The protectors are designed to reduce the risk of injuries caused by impacts that may occur during normal football play.

For correct positioning and optimum performance, the protectors shall be worn with an appropriate retention system, such as football sleeves (tubes) and/or football socks, capable of securely retaining the shin guards in the correct position throughout use.

The product is not intended for use in any sport or activity other than association football.

3. Fitting Instructions

Step 1 – Identify the Correct Protector

Locate the permanent markings:

  • L = Left Leg
  • R = Right Leg

Always use the correct protector on the corresponding leg.

Step 2 – Put on the Football Socks

Put on your football socks or grip socks.

Step 3 – Position the Shin Guard

Place the protector directly on the front of the shin.

Ensure that:

  • the protector is centred,
  • the wider end faces upwards,
  • the G4G logo faces outwards,
  • the correct Left (L) or Right (R) protector is used.
Step 4 – Secure the Protector

Pull a football sleeve (tube) over the protector until it is securely retained against the shin.

Alternatively, football socks providing sufficient retention may be used. 

Step 5 – Final Check

Before play, verify that:

  • the protector is securely retained, 
  • it does not move during walking, running or kicking, 
  • the correct Left (L) and Right (R) protectors are being worn, 
  • the protector feels comfortable and does not restrict movement.

4. Inspection Before Use

Before each use, inspect both protectors.

Do not use the product if any of the following are observed:

  • cracks; 
  • fractures; 
  • deformation; 
  • separation of layers; 
  • damaged impact layer; 
  • damaged lining; 
  • excessive wear. 

Replace damaged protectors immediately.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

The Zero Ninety’ Shin Guards require minimal maintenance.

After use, wipe both protectors with a soft damp cloth to remove dirt, sweat and other residues.

Do not:

  • machine wash; 
  • soak in water; 
  • use solvents or aggressive cleaning agents; 
  • use abrasive materials or brushes; 
  • expose the protectors to direct heat sources for drying. 

6. Storage

After each use, store the protectors in the supplied breathable mesh storage bag.

The breathable mesh construction allows natural air circulation, helping residual moisture to evaporate and allowing the protectors to dry naturally after use.

Store the product:

  • in the supplied mesh storage bag; 
  • in a clean and dry environment; 
  • away from direct sunlight; 
  • away from excessive heat; 
  • away from chemicals; 
  • without placing heavy objects on top of the protectors. 

7. Warnings

  • Always wear both shin guards during use.
  • Always use the correct Left (L) and Right (R) protector.
  • Ensure that the shin guards are securely retained in the correct position throughout use by means of a suitable football sleeve (tube) and/or football/grip socks.
  • Check the position and stability of the shin guards before every training session and match.
  • Do not use the product if it is cracked, deformed or otherwise damaged.
  • Do not modify, drill, cut, sand or otherwise alter the protectors.
  • No protective equipment can completely eliminate the risk of injury.
  • This product is intended exclusively for association football.
  • The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage resulting from improper use, incorrect fitting or unauthorized modification of the product.
  • The protective performance of the shin guards depends on correct positioning and secure retention throughout use.

10. Disposal

At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable local regulations for plastic and composite materials.
